Publication in the special issue Journal of Greek Archaeology Volume 9, 2024

Dipylon had the pleasure of contributing with a paper entitled "Methodology and guidelines for geovisualizing archaeological excavation data: the case of Sikyon, Greece", to the special issue Journal of Greek Archaeology Volume 9 (2024).

The article presents "The Sikyon Excavation project", an innovative webGIS platform that integrates the results of the Sikyon Excavation, a long-term archaeological project conducted under the auspices of the Archaeological Society of Athens and directed by Professor Yiannis Lolos (Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology, University of Thessaly). The digital project was designed and implemented by Dipylon in collaboration with Professor Yiannis Lolos and aims to create a continuously updated digital tool for registering, classifying and managing excavation data of ancient Sikyon in a webGIS environment.

The publication is available from the Archaeopress publications.
