Presentation at the 2023 ΑΙΑ-SCS Annual Meeting

Dipylon participated in the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America with a paper on “Mapping Ancient Athens: Turning Legacy Data of Rescue Excavations into a webGIS Platform” in the session “Digital data curation in Archaeology: Lessons learned and guideposts for the future”.

The Annual Meeting was organized by the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) and the Society for Classical Studies (SCS), and took place in New Orleans, Louisiana from the 5th to 8th of January, 2023.

We cordially thank the AIA Digital Archaeology Interest Group for the invitation and coordination of the event, and the participants for the holistic approach on critical issues regarding the use of digital technology in Archaeology.
