In the context of the project "Virtual Street Museum. Innovative Techniques, Methods and Tools for Documentation, Protection and Promotion of Cultural Heritage", which is implemented in the framework of the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation" (EPAnEK), in the category Open Innovation in Culture (project code: T6YVΠ-00534), the Dipylon team met on 6 November with the other participants at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music to discuss the final stages of the deliverable.
The main objective of the project is the creation of a mobile application available for Android devices, which will provide a personalized experience in the historical center of Athens. The routes that the application will suggest to them include points of interest enhanced with scenes of augmented reality through which the user can familiarize themselves with the continuous transformations of the urban space over time.
