Walking tour for University of Oslo students

On Monday, February 9 we walked on the footsteps of Pausanias with students of the University of Oslo who are attending the seminar "Athens in antiquity" with Professor Anastasia Maravela. Starting at the Kerameikos and the city gates we followed the course of the Panathenaic Way, passed by the Agora, headed to the heart of the Roman city (Roman Market, Library of Hadrian, so-called Pantheon), and walking along the Street of the Tripods we reached the south part of the city. We discussed issues of Athenian topography, urban archaeology and the how cities remember.
