Philopappou Hill has always been a source of inspiration for travelers and artists. Dipylon visited Nikos Papadopoulos’ exhibition Flora Filopappou: A journey from the City of Rocks to the garden organized by the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation, and attended with great interest the discussion entitled “Transformations of the Philopappou Hill” that took place on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Eynardou Mansion; the speakers were Olga Vogiatzoglou (archaeologist), Kostas Moraitis (architect) and Sofia Rizopoulou (biologist).
The exhibition is the fruit of an eight-year-long research that focuses on the Philopappou Hill landscape and is accompanied by an elegant catalog published by MIET (Morfotiko Idryma Ethnikis Trapezis).
The subject of the transformations of the Philopappou Hill is of particular interest to Dipylon in the framework of its project "The Western Hills of Athens".
