Participation at the International Conference ''EUROGEO'', 2022

Dipylon Society participated in the international conference "Re-visioning Geography for sustainability in the post-covid era", which took place at the University of the Aegean, at Mytilene in Lesvos on May 5-6, 2022. The event was organized by the European Association of Geographers (EUROGEO) and the University of the Aegean.

Μaria Pigaki, cartographer and founding member of the Dipylon Society, organized and coordinated the session "Cultural Geography and Heritage." She presented the European program Erasmus + MINERVA, in which Dipylon participates, with the announcement "Heritage studies as an applied transdisciplinary science through the integration of Geosciences. The MINERVA Project".

George Lampropoulos, mechanical engineer and member of our team, presented the project Mapping Ancient Athens in a paper entitled "Mapping Ancient Athens: A Digital Map to Rescue Excavations".

We kindly thank the University of the Aegean for the hospitality and all the participants for such a fruitful meeting.
